SENIOR PROJECT LEAD - COUNT & COOPER

For over four years I have been working at Count & Cooper as Sr. Project Lead. Until January of this year I always did tenders. When I started working at Count & Cooper I had little experience in the sector. I was able to rely on a lot of project management experience, which allowed me to quickly master the content. The start was good by immediately winning my first tender. That of course gave an immediate kick and an enormous feeling of togetherness.

I am currently responsible for a sub-section on the A9 as part of the delivery team, which, among other things, is responsible for the work preparation. The great thing about working at Count & Cooper is the work itself, the people and the impressive projects. The role we have in a tender is to set up a company in a very short time. Several people from different parties have to work together to achieve one result. Count & Cooper ensures that the entire tender process is arranged. And that the products required for profit are of high quality. It takes time and energy to get everyone on the same page. We mix between all disciplines and sit between everyone. This way we become the lubricant oil in a tender process that is very much driven by output. It is nice that everyone works and wants to deliver very project-based. There is also a high degree of responsibility for the product to be delivered. We always meet deadlines. This mindset in turn spreads to the people around us.

People make a company. And that certainly applies to Count & Cooper. I experience it as a company with people who are always looking for solutions that are not obvious. When difficulties are experienced, we look at how things can be done. Nobody at Count & Cooper settles for the standard. They really think out-of-the-box. After four years, I notice that the scope of Count & Cooper is growing and with it our impact. This is mainly because we step into projects in a risk-bearing manner and attract large parts of the scope. It is a company with a very good atmosphere. Everyone is collegial, social and willing to help each other. Intellectually people challenge each other, including less experienced people. There is no hierarchy at all and I just welcome that. It is a combination of the down-to-earthness of the construction industry and always wanting to outperform. And the drinks are also worth mentioning.

If you are looking for entrepreneurship in your work, you want to learn a lot from experienced people as well as from people who come straight out of school and want to do awesome projects in the infrastructure world, Count & Cooper is the place to be.
