Half a year ago I started at Count & Cooper as a Senior Project Lead. They had just won a mega tender, the tender process of which took a year and a half. Because of this project and the good conversations I had had, I didn't have to think long to make the switch. The application process is meticulous and strict, but once you have gone through the application process, you can be sure that it will fit. What Count & Cooper offers is work on large infrastructure projects in large teams. We have an impact on the project with our own vision. Together we achieve success.
"There is a lot of openness in the company, there are few layers and you can really provide input to the company and strategy."
Count & Cooper is the link between the design and the execution team. I started to determine the procurement strategy of the project together with the building contractor. I also have a lot of contact with the client and coach and I supervise the work preparation team. We always work in teams on a project and the people at Count & Cooper are all smart professionals. The output is of high quality.
For me, the added value is that I am now working on strategic things at the project and also at management level. I also work a lot with other companies. There is one team, I don't experience any hierarchy at all. The basis is really good and you are immediately given responsibility. What I also find positive is that I am not always 100% busy with one project; I also have other activities. For example, I am now working on making a policy for working digitally.
There is a lot of openness in the company, there are few layers and you can really provide input to the company, including the strategy. There is a lot of interaction, never telling how something should be done. Ideas are picked up in the organisation. The biggest differences with how I was used to it are that people understand it quickly and that there is a team right away. What I also find positive is that the team consists of a good mix of men and women. This ensures good discussions in the group. What also strikes me is that Count & Cooper invests enormously in the development of its employees. There is also a coach in the company, which is extremely valuable. Everyone in the company is engaged in development, both professionally and personally, which makes working for Count & Cooper very enjoyable.
